The EO-DAHR project
The aim of the EO-DAHR project is to explore the possibilities of improving hydrological forecasts by using Earth Observation data from several platforms. The general goal is to combine data assimilation for soil moisture and vegetation with a hydrological ensemble prediction system (HEPS).
The project tasks are carried out by three scientific institutes:
- Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (RMI)
- Katholieke Universiteit te Leuven (KULeuven)
- Nansen Environemental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC)
EO-DAHR is part of the research programme for Earth Observation STEREO III funded by the Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO).
